Microsoft is planning to introduce a mobile payments solution for users of Windows 10 smartphones and tablets, to rival offerings from Apple, Google and Samsung.
Windows executive Joe Belifore told Recode, “we have a bunch of work we’re doing there,” following the launch of new Windows 10 devices from Lenovo.
Belifore pointed to a “massive network of complexity,” when it comes to entering the mobile payments game.
If that wasn’t enough, each service also requires the process to be repeated in whatever country Apple, Google, etc. wishes to roll out in.

Although it might be a while before we see the solution emerge, Microsoft has been threatening to jump on this densely populated bandwagon for quite some time.
It had a primitive wallet solution built into Windows 8, while the company has also snapped up the services of Amazon Payments spearhead Iain Kennedy.
Kennedy himself recently went on record about Microsoft’s plans. He said: “Windows is going to have a wallet concept,” he said. “We’re going to think about the range of payment scenarios.”
