Upcoming Microsoft Lumia flagships seemingly leaked via press shots

The rumour mill has been churning out details on upcoming Microsoft smartphones for a while now.

Fortunately, we may have just caught our first real glimpse of the two claimed flagships – the ‘Cityman’ and the ‘Talkman’.

The first leak is purported to be of the Cityman, and shows a handset resting on a marble surface, plugged into a mysterious black box – via DrWindows.

The device looks similar to previous Nokia and Microsoft Lumia smartphones, and appears to be sporting a turquoise rear shell.

Unfortunately, we can’t verify the image, so take it with a hearty pinch of salt.

The second leak comes courtesy of prolific rumour-spinner Evleaks, who posted press renders of claimed Cityman and Talkman handsets.

Again, both handsets appear to be crafted in typical Lumia style – no surprises there.

The Cityman is expected to ultimately land under the name of Microsoft Lumia 950 XL.

It’s tipped to feature a 5.7-inch 1,440 x 2,560 OLED display, a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 20MP PureView rear-facing camera, a 5MP selfie shooter, and a 3,300mAh removable battery.

The Talkman, meanwhile, has been rumoured to arrive as the Microsoft Lumia 950.

As such, it will seemingly tout a smaller 5.2-inch 1,440 x 2,560 OLED display, as well as a 64-bit hexa-core Snapragon 808 chip, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 20MP PureView main camera, a 5MP secondary camera, and a 3,000mAh removable battery.

Other top-end features alleged to appear include Qi-standard wireless charging, an Iris scanner, and a USB-C port.

Microsoft has long been expected to release two new flagship smartphones, mainly because it needs a launch vehicle for the upcoming Windows 10 Mobile.

Rumour has it that the company is planning a big product announcement event for this autumn, so stay tuned.
