Microsoft Demos Windows 8 on 82in touchscreen

During the launch event for its new Windows 8 Consumer Preview software, Microsoft demonstrated the new operating system working on an 82-in touch-enabled display.

Developed by Perceptive Pixel, a pioneer of touchscreen displays and computers, it can register up to 100 fingers at the same time and also accept input from pen devices.

The enormous display ran flawlessly and was just one of the many sizes and styles of device shown running Microsoft’s new software. We’ll be back again shorty with a video of this incredible piece of tech.
