Images of Microsoft’s second-generation wearable have seemingly leaked onto the web.
Microsoft is expected to announce the follow-up to last year’s Microsoft Band on October 6, and now we have a pretty good idea of what it’ll look like.
Spanish website Microsoft Insider has managed to get its mitts on these images of the new Microsoft wearable. It claims that they are official renders.
Given that we gave the original Band a bit of a hard time for being “ugly and uncomfortable to wear,” we’re relieved to see that the Microsoft Band 2 appears set to be considerably sleeker and better looking.
As you can see, the Band 2 looks to have a neat curved-screen design and attractive metal accents to offset the overwhelming feel of plastic found in the original. It certainly seems to tally with previous reports on the second-generation Microsoft wearable, but we’ll have to wait a few weeks to be sure.

The report also suggest that the new Band will contain more
sophisticated sensors, enabling it to add altitude to the list of
fitness-related trackable stats.
Other than the Microsoft Band 2, expect to see Microsoft’s long-awaited Lumia flagships running Windows 10 at the October 6 event, as well as a new Surface tablet.
