Metal Gear Survive beta is now live across PS4 and Xbox One

The open beta for Metal Gear Survive is now available to download on PS4 and Xbox One, Konami has announced.

Konami’s upcoming survival adventure is set to launch for PS4, Xbox One and PC on February 22. However, for the next three days you can try out a slice of it for free.

Metal Gear Survive’s beta will see you and up to three friends fending off against diamond-encrusted zombies while defending a nearby wormhole.

To emerge victorious you’ll have to defend yourselves against waves of enemies by crafting new tools and using everything at your disposal.

The beta also provides a virtual slice of the hub world and side missions where you’re able to obtain loot and personalise things to your liking.

Our own Brett Phipps recently went hands-on with Metal Gear Survive and came away rather impressed:

‘I didn’t expect to like Metal Gear Survive as much as I did, especially after the opening hour of the game. However, it soon sinks in its hooks and becomes a very entertaining game of balancing resources and limited abilities and, ironically, surviving.’
