Konami has warned players of a Metal Gear Solid 5 bug regarding Quiet, which could corrupt your save.
There’s a strange bug in Metal Gear Solid 5 that could destroy your entire save, if you use Quiet at the wrong time.
As explained on the Konami website, the bug could corrupt your save if you have Quiet as a buddy during select missions.
“In Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain which was released on September 1st 2015, there is a possibility that save data may get corrupted and becomes unusable if having Quiet as a buddy while playing Mission 29 or Mission 42,” explained Konami. “This situation can be avoided by not using Quiet as a buddy while playing either Mission 29 or Mission 42.”
It seems the bug is affecting all platforms – that’s PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3 – and Konami hasn’t get found the cause for the bug.
However, it is working on the source and will release a fix as soon as it can.
“We deeply apologize, and appreciate your patience for further announcements regarding this issue.”
Perhaps it’s the ghost of Kojima? Whatever the cause, we’ll have updates for you as we hear them.

The Phantom Pain is about to get even bigger, as Konami is deploying the more traditional, head-to-head multiplayer mode, Metal Gear Online, in the coming weeks.
The current multiplayer option, the Forward Operating Base mode, has been plagued with connectivity issues since launch.
Those problems have now been largely fixed though.
