Mass Effect 4 looks “beautiful, fun and ambitious”, says Bioware

Bioware has announced that it is very pleased with the progress of the new Mass Effect game, currently known as Mass Effect 4.

The Bioware team have been bragging about how well the new Mass Effect game is coming along on Twitter in the past couple of days, causing mass hysteria among fans.

Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series has been tweeting back and fourth with Michael Gamble, Producer on the Mass Effect franchise, giving us a little insight on the game’s development progress.

“What’s even more fun than working on the design of a new fictional world? Taking our first steps into it and looking around,” tweeted Hudson.

Hudson had already announced Mass Effect 4 would take place in a fresh and new universe during the PAX East panel, so fans are very intrigued as to where and when the upcoming instalment will take place.

However, it was Hudson’s next tweet that caused fans’ excitement to brim over.

“In a milestone review for next Mass Effect game. Team is doing outstanding work. Looks beautiful, fun, ambitious, and Mass Effect-y!” he added later.

It seems that Mass Effect 4 is well into its development period. It’s only been six months since Hudson confirmed the game was in production, but it seems the Bioware team have been beavering away behind the scenes.

“I like it when a plan comes together. Especially a Mass Effect plan,” added Gamble, after tweeting a virtual high five to his colleague for the aforementioned tweet.

So far, we know very little about the new Mass Effect game, except for the fact you won’t be playing as Commander Shepard, although he/she may well make an appearance.

Instead, you might be playing as one of the characters already featured in the original trilogy such as Garrus, Aria or even the Illusive Man.
