Trump, an American business magnate and Republican presidential candidate, hit headlines this week after calling for a complete ban on Muslims entering the United States.
The politician made the comments in response to the 2015 San Bernardino shooting, and has been the target of widespread backlash as a result, including from UK Prime Minister David Cameron.
It’s not clear what specific action Zuckerberg plans to take regarding the rights of Muslims on Facebook, but the founder does rank as a formidable Trump adversary.
Facebook currently serves over 1.5 billion monthly active users worldwide, and tops the list of most popular social networks to date.
