Logitech reveals its most expensive gaming mouse ever

In the quest for gaming mouse dominance, Logitech has put forward its most impressive contender yet.

Logitech has just launched a new wireless gaming mouse that aims to replace wired mice as the go-to devices for pro gamers. It’s called the Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum, and it arrives at the very high end of Logitech’s gaming mouse line-up.

The G900 boasts a “highly optimised” 2.4GHz wireless connection, and claims a 1ms report rate in both wired and wireless modes. That’s incredibly quick, and should be fast enough to suit even the most demanding gamers.

At Logitech G, we invent new technologies to push th boundaries of what is possible for PC gamers,” says Logitech.

“To satisfy the demands of professionals and the dreams of the rest, we introduce the G900 Chaos Spectrum wireless gaming mouse,” the company continues.

It’s also incredibly light for a gaming mouse, weighing just 107g – that’s about a fifth lighter than the G900’s main rival, the Razer Mamba (2015). “Every component of the Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum has been optimised to reduce weight while maintaining stability,” Logitech explains.

The G900 uses the PMW3366 sensor, which has been well reviewed in the past, and offers a DPI range (read: sensitivity) of 200 to 12,000. It can also track at 40G acceleration and speeds of up to (and over) 300 inches per second..
