A developer at Dontnod Entertainment confirmed that a second season of the narrative adventure is already in development.

Speaking with French publication Alchimy, (translated via Reddit) Dontnod co-founder Alain Damasio confirmed he is working on the script for Life is Strange season two.

“I worked as a script doctor on Life is Strange, developed by the studio Dontnod, and I will participate on Life is Strange 2 later,” he said.

Co-director Michel Koch added that the second season would contain a completely new cast of characters, so we may not see Max and Chloe anytime soon.

“We can really go with other characters, other locations, but still keep the identity of the game, the themes of the game,” he said.

Life is Strange was critically adored for its characters, story and visual style, receiving high praise from fans and critics alike.

The final episode of Life is Strange was made available on October 20, 2015. Square Enix announced that the episodic series has sold over a million copies since its release.

Life is Strange is currently available for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
