Square has also announced that total sales for Life is Strange has surpassed 1 million since the first episode’s release back in January.
“This is a huge achievement for the small team working on the team,” Square said in recent statement.
Life is Strange is developed by Paris based studio Dontnod and the title has been critically acclaimed for its extensive attention to detail and accurate depiction of student life.
Max’s time reversal mechanic has also been well received, which has a large influence on the unfolding narrative.
Players can reverse time to alter the environment and reverse dialogue options or scenarios they wish to change or re-experience.
Life is Strange is a stark contrast to Dontnod’s last project, Remember Me, which was critically and commercially unsuccessful when it launched in 2013.
