Libratone celebrates turning 10 with the Track Air+ SE

To celebrate its tenth birthday, Danish audio brand Libratone has marked the occasion with a special edition version of its TRACK Air+ wireless earbuds

The TRACK Air+ SE (£215) have a few additional features compared to the original true wireless, and come in an attractive black and gold design.

Weighing 5.6g, the TRACK Air+ SE contain all the stuff we liked about the originals, including the smart noise cancelling feature, wear detect technology and Bluetooth 5.0 compatibility. The Track Air+ were already capable of blocking out 30dB noise, but the special edition version have been further tweaked to block out wind noise better.

Their IPX4 rating means sweat and water aren’t a problem, and the fit – which was already super-comfortable – has been enhanced with the inclusion of an integrated ear tip test within the Libratone app. According to Libratone, the test only takes a few seconds, and recommends which size ear tip is best for your ears. A good seal means better noise isolation and a better foundation for noise cancelling to work its magic.

The touch controls remain the same, with its double and triple tap functions. Like the original TRACK Air+, the user can change the touch controls to their own preferences, granting a layer of customisation in how you the earbuds are operated.

One area that hasn’t been improved is battery life, which remains the same at 24 hours; nor has the design of the pebble sized scratch-resistant charging case, which also comes in the same striking black and gold finish.

We liked the TRACK Air+ a lot when we reviewed them last year, giving them a 4.5 recommendation. The TRACK Air+ SE are on sale, exclusively from Libratone’s revamped website for £215. As an additional birthday treat, Libratone is including the COIL wireless charging plate worth £35 with every pair of earbuds.
