LG Watch Urbane LTE will cost more than an Apple Watch

The LG Watch Urbane LTE is set to launch in South Korea in the coming days, and now we know how much it will cost.
According to the Korean company, the ritzy smartwatch will cost 650,000 won, which translates to just under £395.
That puts its price above some Apple Watch models, the most basic of which are marked up at £299 – that’s for the 38mm Apple Watch Sport.
LG announced the Watch Urbane LTE earlier this year, positioning the swanky smartwatch as a more refined offering compared to the LG G Watch R.
It hopes that the improved, more sophisticated design – along with LTE connectivity – will justify the more premium price tag for consumers.

At the Urbane’s heart is a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, as well as a 700mAh battery.
It’s also got a 1.3-inch circular P-OLED display, which gels with the growing trend of round-faced smartwatches.
Some Korean media outlets (KBW, KH) have reported that the Urbane LTE will run Android Wear. However, LG has confirmed to TrustedReviews that it will run LG Wearable OS.
Other noteworthy features include NFC functionality, GPS location sharing, and a speech translator.
It’s important to point out that although we have South Korean pricing confirmed, a direct currency conversion isn’t always an accurate way of gauging prices internationally.
We contacted LG for official comment about UK availability and pricing. They responded and explained that the Urbane LTE is not confirmed for the UK market at this time.
