LG Miracle Arriving This Month

LG is set to launch a new smartphone featuring the Window Phone 7 operating system later this month at Mobile World Congress with the hard-to-live-up-to name of the LG Miracle.

The Miracle, which was formerly known as the LG Fantasy, will feature a 4in screen which could be of the NOVA type with should make it one of the brightest we’ve seen on any Windows Phone 7 device. LG’s previous WP7 phone, the LG Optimus 7, was certianly a polished product, but suffered from a poor camera and the weak WP7 eco-system.

Since this is a WP7 phone, we can deduce that it will (or in fact won’t) feature a number of hardware specifications. A single-core processor is guaranteed reported to be a 1GHz Snapdragon and memory of 8GB is also being reported, which of course won’t be expandable via SD card.

It will have a five megapixel camera capable of shooting 720p video along with a front-facing camera, which may become useful when the Tango update brings video-calling to the platform.

One of the most intriguing aspects of the new phone could be its NFC capabilities, a feature sources speaking to Pocket Now said the phone will have. NFC was not expected until the launch of Windows Phone 8 later this year. How this is being implemented is unknown but we should only have to wait for a couple of weeks for Mobile World Congress to get all the details.
