LG LifeBand Touch fitness tracker unveiled
After leaking ahead of an official unveiling, the LG LifeBand Touch fitness tracker is real and will play nice with Android and iPhone.
Adding to the rapidly growing list of fitness trackers, LG is the latest to throw its hat into the ring with the LifeBand Touch.
The Touch is a fully waterproof tracker capable of monitoring the calories you’ve burnt off, how many step you’ve taken and other healthcare tracking stats.
Featuring a touchscreen OLED display, fitness enthusiasts can also check incoming phone calls, notifications and control music playback. Unlike the NikeFuelband SE, you can review previous data on the display so there’s less reliance on the accompanying smartphone app.
Compatible with iPhones and Android phones including the LG G Flex and LG G2, the app will pair with the Touch over Bluetooth 4.0 smart.
There will also be support for existing fitness apps with MyFitnessPal and Runkeeper among the first to work with the LifeBand Touch.
LG also announced a pair of heart rate headphones that can be synced with the fitness tracker to display heart rate information.
As yet, there are no details on UK pricing or a release date for the LifeBand Touch but it will be landing in the US in the Spring.
