It’s official: the LG G4 release date is set for the end of May, and retailers are already confirming their entry into the smartphone fray.
The South Korean tech giant announced its flagship handset today, showing off a 5.5-inch powerhouse device.
The Android phone boasts a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chip, a QHD display, a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a beefy 3,000mAh battery.
“I’m excited to introduce to you, our latest flagship smartphone, the LG G4,” said Brian Na, LG’s President for Europe.
“The proposal of this phone shouldn’t just be about showcasing technology, but consider the people who use it.”

Carphone Warehouse has confirmed it will be stocking the LG G4 starting on May 28 in the UK.
It also revealed that customers will be able to get their hands on a black leather version of the device, exclusive to the retailer. Act quickly, however, as the exclusive colour offering expires on June 30.
“The LG G4 doesn’t disappoint – it has been built for the smartphone user that wants a premium and stylish product and one that’s packed to the brim with exciting new features.”
One of the UK’s biggest network providers, O2 has confirmed that it will be stocking the new phone.
The company plans to peddle the handset in Metallic Grey and Genuine Leather Brown, the latter of which is exclusive to O2.
O2 doesn’t have a release date just yet, but we’ll update this article as soon as we know.
TalkTalk Mobile has confirmed to TrustedReviews that it will be offering the LG G4, although pricing and availability is still unknown.
Three UK says it will definitely be selling a range of LG G4 handsets, and will exclusively stock the ceramic white model – only until the end of June, though.
Vodafone says the LG G4 will be in stores, although we’re not sure which models will be stocked, or what date the handset will become available.
