LG G3 price tipped for £500 despite QHD display

The LG G3 price has been tipped to fall somewhere around the £500 in the UK, following leaked pricing info from numerous retailers.

Several Scandinavian online retailers have prematurely added the LG G3 to their offerings, with pricing ranging from €613 to €729, depending on internal storage capacity.

Finnish retailers, Kasuplan, is listing the 16GB gold version of the LG G3 for €613 (£499) or the white 32GB model for €659 (£536).

Another Finnish retailer, Multitronic, suggests the 16GB gold model is €678 (£552), while the white 32GB model is €730 (£594).

Of course, these are all placeholder prices and are therefore subject to change, but it looks like we’re looking at somewhere around the £500 price point for the LG G3.

Despite its confirmed 5.5-inch QHD 2560 x 1440p resolution display and potential brushed metal body, the LG G3 could only launch for £100 more than the LG G2.

When the G2 went on sale at the tail end of last year, the flagship cost £400.

To tease us further ahead of the G3 launch later this month, LG has opened up the official LG G3 product page.

Although the actual product page doesn’t give any fresh details away, only listing the device as “coming soon”, it does redirect your attention back to the teaser trailer released earlier this month.

That teaser trailer pretty much confirmed the brushed metal body of the LG G3, redesigned rear volume rocker, dual LED camera and possible IR blaster.

Other rumoured LG G3 specs include a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM.

It is also expected to pack a 13-megapixel rear camera, complemented by a 2.4-megapixel front-facing sensor for video calls and the like.

Android 4.4 KitKat is heavily expected to be behind a brand new, possibly totally revamped UI probably making the most of that QHD panel.
