LG G Watch R Release Date: Moto 360 rival on sale now

The LG G Watch R release date has come to pass with one online retailer now selling the Moto 360 rival.

Despite LG claiming yesterday that the LG G Watch R would not be released until early November, Unlocked Mobiles is already shipping the Android Wear device.

What’s more, another UK seller, Clove has suggested it expects its first stocks of the round-faced smartwatch today, October 24.

Head over to Clove’s website and you’ll see that the online retailer is promising to start shipping the smartwatch on Monday, October 27. Unlocked Mobiles, however, is offering the wearable right now. The retailer is giving wannabe owners the chance to snap up the device with next day delivery.

LG has kept mum thus far on a specific release date for the watch, except to peg ‘early November’ as the rough window.

Clove is flogging the LG G Watch R for £225, while Unlocked Mobiles has marked it up at a slightly higher £229.

Responding to the retailers’ claims, an official LG spokesperson told us: “At this time we haven’t got any updates on UK availability to share with you.”

LG announced its G Watch R about two months ago, naming it as the successor to the original LG G Watch.

The Android Wear-powered device packs a Snapdragon 400 processor, an IPS display, 4GB of built-in storage, 512MB of memory, and a sizeable 410mAh battery.

It sports a circular, metallic case, and an IP67 rating that certifies it as good to go at underwater depths of 1 metre for 30 minutes.

The display measures up at 1.3 inches, with a resolution of 320 x 320.
