LG G Pad 8.3 price confirmed ahead of pre-Christmas release

The LG G Pad 8.3 price has been confirmed, with LG announcing the tablet’s pricing alongside confirmation of pre-Christmas UK release plans.

Formally unveiled in the run up to IFA 2013 last month, the LG G Pad 8.3 marks the Korean manufacturers return to the tablet scene and the latest Android based rival to the likes of the iPad mini and Google Nexus 7. The LG G Pad 8.3 price has been set at £259.99.

“The introduction of the LG G Pad 8.3 is another great step in design and technology from LG and shows that the G Series is going from strength to strength,” Andy Coughlin, Head of Mobile for LG UK said. “Just like the LG G2, the G Pad 8.3 delivers cutting-edge technology in a slim and sleek form, and is just the product for our re-entry into the UK tablet market.”

LG G Pad 8.3 Features
With a form factor sitting between the iPad mini and iPad 4 in the size stakes, the LG G Pad 8.3 pairs its 8.3-inch WUXGA display with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and 273 pixels-per-inch image density.

Powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, the LG G Pad 8.3 runs Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS alongside 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM.

Further enhancing the LG G Pad 8.3 specs sheet, a large 4600mAh Lithium-Polymer battery keeps things running, while a 5-megapixel rear-mounted snapper and 1.3-megapixel secondary camera complete the tablet’s imaging options.

Lining up at 8.3mm thick and 338g in weight, the LG G Pad 8.3 features list is rounded off by the option of black or white colour schemes.

LG G Pad 8.3 Release Date and Price

Although LG has yet to confirm an exact LG G Pad 8.3 release date, the manufacturer has stated that the tablet will hit UK retailers in the run up to the lucrative pre-Christmas sales period.

“The highly-awaited LG G Pad 8.3 tablet will be rolled out across the UK and Ireland in the run-up to Christmas,” the manufacturer has stated.

With the LG G Pad 8.3 price set a penny shy of £260, LG has revealed that the tablet will be available through IT distributor Micro P in the UK and Harvey Norman stores in Ireland.
