Leaked HTC Endeavor ROM Reveals Sense 4.0

Mobile World Congress is almost upon us and with HTC not announcing much at CES last month, we expect to see a lot of new devices from the Taiwanese manufacturer in Barcelona.

Ahead of the trade show at the end of the month, we’ve been given some more details about the HTC Endeavor (previously known as the HTC Edge) thanks to a ROM Upgrade Utility (RUU) from HTC itself which was leaked to XDA Developers.

The guys over at HTCHub have been busy unpicking the new ROM to discover details about the unannounced phone. According to details contained in the software, the HTC Endeavor will have a 4.7in display with a HD resolution of 1,280×720, it will be powered by the quad-core Tegra 3 CPU, have an 8 megapixel rear camera, NFC, 1GB RAM and run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) which will be overlaid with HTC’s own Sense 4.0 user interface.

Further rumours suggest that, like the HTC Sensation XE, the HTC Endeavor will come with Beats Audio built-in.

While the screenshots of Sense 4.0 look very much like Sense 3.0, there have been a number of updates including a couple of new lock screen options giving you access to notifications and contacts.

We will be on hand in Barcelona later this month to see if HTC announces the Endeavor and other handsets such as the much-rumoured HTC Ville, and a possible update to the HTC Flyer.
