New pair promising high speeds and low running costs.
It appears that the latest trend in technology is building environmentally friendly products (and long may it continue). Few can claim to be doing a better job at this than Kyocera.
Expanding its ECOSYS line this month are the FS-C5015N and FS-C5025N. Both are pictured above and – though they may resemble a ‘spot the difference’ competition – I can reveal the C5025N is the one on the right (”opps, well spotted David!”).
As you would expect from such identical twins both feature reasonably close specifications though the C5025N predictably pips the C5015N in most areas with 20ppm colour and mono verses 16ppm colour and mono, a first page comparison of 13 and 16 seconds and marginally cheaper running costs: 0.7p per sheet for mono and 3.97p for colour verses 0.9p for mono and 5.1p for colour.
That said, the two do share PCL6, PostScript 3 and PDF direct printing, 128MB RAM and USB2.0 and network connectivity as standard. Both go on sale in November with the C5015N setting you back £699 and the C5025N forcing you to dig a little deeper at £888 (all prices include VAT).
We hope Kyocera clearly labels the boxes.
