Kingmax Sees Red

If you want to make your PCs insides a bit more racy, you might like the look of these new Kingmax memory modules.

Kingmax, the memory module manufacturer claims to have brought memory, “into a new era of personalized fashion and innovation”. That might be laying it on bit thick but its new red memory DDR1 modules are certainly different from the norm. Previously manufactures have used funky looking heatsink covers and lights to spice up their memory, but these red Kingmax modules are au naturel.

The modules are available in both standard 184-pin DIMM and SO-DIMM sizes – though why anyone might care about a coloured SO-DIMM is beyond us, as these will always be enclosed in a notebook chassis.

The 184-pin modules are available at speeds of 433 and 466MHZ, with CAS latencies of 2.5 and 3.0 respectively. The 200-pin SO-DIMM have the same latencies at 333 or 400MHZ respectively.

Both sizes are available in capacities of either 256MB, 512MB and 1GB and they all come with a global lifetime warranty. You can find out more at the Kingmax web site, here.
