Kingdom Hearts 2.9 allegedly in development for PS3/PS4

A new title called Kingdom Hearts 2.9 is being developed for PS3 and PS4, if online leaks are to be believed.
Originally discovered by KH13, the leak originates from a Square Enix developer who seems to have listed the title on his Linkedin page.
According to the Linkedin profile, Kingdom Hearts 2.9 has been in development for 10 months now in Japan.
The employee in question, oversaw “game idea planning, documentation, boss planning,” and more.
If you dig a little deeper, the developer’s profile also lists involvement with the development of Kingdom Hearts 3, including the names of both Disney and Pixar.
Square Enix recently confirmed that a world from animated film Big Hero 6 will be featured in the game.

Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix was the last title in the series to be released, launching exclusively for PS3 in December 2014.
The game included high definition remasters of Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, along with the cutscenes from DS title Kingdom Hearts: Re:coded.
Kingdom Hearts 2.9 could simply be a compilation of previous titles being remastered for the PS4.
This would certainly make sense, as we won’t be getting our hands on the third installment for a good while.
Kingdom Hearts 3 was first announced at E3 2013, and is currently in development for PS4 and Xbox One.
Now we just have to pray that Star Wars and Marvel will pop up in future titles.
