It’s official: Apple confirms October 27 event, new MacBook Pro expected

Apple has sent out invites to a press event on October 27, where the firm is expected to unleash new Mac hardware.
Less than 24 hours after reports ‘confirmed’ the date, Apple made it official with the invite (above) bearing the caption ‘hello again.’
A brand new MacBook Pro has been tipped to headline the event, featuring a fresh design, USB Type-C charging and a brand new touch-sensitive OLED panel above the keyboard.

The firm’s iMac and Mac Pro lines could also be in line for an update, but the 12-inch Retina MacBook was refreshed earlier this year.
In terms of non-Mac announcements, it’s conceivable Apple could roll out a refreshed Apple TV set-top box to support 4K HDR video.
