Apple has opened pre-orders on its new iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
The company announced its new compact smartphone and smaller top-end tablet at a small event on Monday, and now customers in certain countries can place their orders.
If you’re living in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, UK or US, you can put your name down for an iPhone SE or iPad Pro now. Both devices will officially go on sale a week today, on March 31.
The iPhone SE, lest you managed to miss the controversy/outrage/mockery/cool indifference, is essentially an iPhone 5S complete with the iPhone 6S’s internals. Besides its old-school design and teeny-tiny 4-inch display, it packs a potent A9 CPU and an excellent 12-megapixel camera.
It’ll set you back £359 for the 16GB model, or £439 for the 64GB model.

Meanwhile, the new iPad Pro is the second tablet launched within four months to garner that name. Unlike the 12.9-inch original, it has the same 9.7-inch form factor and general dimensions as the iPad Air 2, though its screen is said to be vastly improved.
You also get a souped up A9X CPU, support for the Apple Pencil and a new custom-sized Smart Keyboard cover, a massively improved 12-megapixel camera (that now sticks out), and a far-meatier four speakers.

Prices for the new, smaller iPad Pro start from £499 for the 32GB model, and move on to £619 for 128GB and £739 for the new 256GB option – a first for any iOS device.
