The iPhone 8 and the larger iPhone 8 Plus are available now. They might not be a huge visual difference, glass back aside, but these are the best Apple phones you can buy right now. Well, until the iPhone X comes out later in the year.
As with all iPhones, there have already been reports of a few issues arising with the new models.
Static noise coming from the earpiece
One of the most widespread issues with the new iPhone 8 seems to be a problem with static noise and crackling appearing during some phone calls.
Users on the MacRumors forums noted the issues, saying that it affected both FaceTime and regular calls.
Thankfully, it seems that Apple has noted that the issues exists and intends to seed an update to fix it. However, no timeframe was given.
In a statement given to The Verge, Apple said it was only aware of a “small number of cases”.
