iPhone 7 Plus images leaked, brand new features revealed

Apple’s iPhone 7 is nearly here, and mobile leakers are working overtime ahead of the upcoming launch.
New images that supposedly depict the iPhone 7 have been posted online by French technology website Nowhereelse. What’s special about the new images are that we get a glimpse of what may be the rumoured iPhone 7 Plus, a larger device with a dual-lens camera.
It’s also worth noting that the iPhone 7 Plus appears to feature a Smart Connector. The triple-pin port, first launched on the iPad Pro, has long been rumoured to feature on Apple’s next iPhone. If it’s included, the iPhone 7 would offer new ways to connect to accessories, e.g. a Smart Keyboard.
The site that posted the image is headed up by Steve Hemmerstoffer, a journalist with an impressive track record for mobile leaks. As such, we’re less inclined to dismiss this latest leak outright. However, it should be noted that we can’t actually verify the images, so take any such leaks with due caution.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 7 at its annual product launch event in September this year. The company has yet to announce official plans however; details will likely come in late August or early September. The phone is rumoured to ship with new A10 processors, 32GB of base storage, and slightly redesigned antenna banding. It’s also expected that Apple will remove the 3.5mm audio jack, instead forcing users to connect their headphones via the Lightning port.
