iPhone 5S pricing and tariffs announced by Vodafone

Vodafone UK has detailed its iPhone 5S tariffs, revealing the phone will be available on its 4G network from launch.
Ahead of the iPhone 5S release date on Friday, Vodafone has outlined its pricing and tariff offerings for Apple’s latest flagship phone.
Available directly from stores or the Vodafone website, the iPhone 5S will be offered on the Vodafone Red 4G-ready and the Red 3G 24 months plans.
The 24 month 4G-ready plans start at £47 per month for 6GB of data (on offer until the end of October), unlimited minutes and texts and a free six month subscription to Sky Sports or Spotify Premium. To get the 16GB iPhone 5S on this tariff there will be a £79 up-front charge.
If 4G isn’t of interest, the iPhone 5S can be purchased on a 24 month Vodafone Red 3G plan from £42 per month plus a £79 one-off fee. This contract offers unlimited minutes and texts and 1GB of data.
Vodafone’s 4G network launched on August 29 in London, claiming speeds six times faster than the average obtained on 3G. By the end of the year, Vodafone will add 4G coverage to 12 more UK locations, including Glasgow, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Newcastle and Leeds.
iPhone 5S Features
Contained within the same 7.6mm metal design as the iPhone 5, the iPhone 5S packs quite a few spec enhancements over its predecessor.
The iPhone 5S now has a 64-bit A7 processor that is said to be 100 per cent faster than the A6. Although it retains the 8-megapixel resolution, the iPhone 5S’ rear camera has a sensor that is 15 per cent larger and a 5-element designed lens to differentiate it from the iPhone 5.
The aperture has been boosted to f/2.2 , and the iPhone 5S now boasts optical image stabilisation and a dual LED flash.
Apple has also introduced Touch ID, a fingerprint sensor built into the home button of the iPhone 5S.
