The iPad mini was unveiled on Tuesday 23 October, and will be available to order from tomorrow, Friday 26 October. The first units will start shipping out on 2 November.
There are a whopping twelve different iPad mini models to choose from. To break it down, there are three storage options, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. There are two connectivity types, either Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi plus Cellular. And, perhaps the hardest to decide, the iPad mini comes in black and white finishes.
Although only born a few days ago, the iPad mini has attracted plenty of criticism from some, who suggest that at £269 for the lowest-end model, it’s just too expensive. It’s conspicuously pricier than the Google Nexus 7, which starts at just £159.
However, build quality matches up to the full-size iPad, with an aluminium rear. Other specs include a dual-core A5 processor, 1,024 x 768 pixel resolution and dual cameras.
Here’s how much each model will cost you –
16GB Wi-Fi – £269
32GB Wi-Fi – £349
64GB Wi-Fi – £429
16GB Wi-Fi plus Cellular – £369
32GB Wi-Fi plus Cellular – £449
64GB Wi-Fi plus Cellular – £529
