Intel has gained a world record for flying the most unmanned aerial vehicles at the same time.
The company put on an impressive display, with more than 100 light-equipped drones, taking off at the same time before creating a range of colourful displays in mid-air.
Organisers held the stunt in November last year, with news of the achievment breaking at CES last week.
Intel engineers put on a spectacular display at Flugplatz Ahrenlohe in Tornesch, Germany, which you can now watch in the newly released video below.

The display, which took place while a small orchestra played Beethoven’s fifth Symphony, was confirmed by the Guinness World Records representative as successful and Intel will be listed in the next volume of the iconic book.
The previous record for simultaneous drone launches was held by a team from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California which launched 50 drones in unison.

Intel collaborated with Ars Electronica Futurelab on the project to break the record, with a team remotely controlling the light-equipped drones from the ground.
The company embarked upon the project ‘to show what UAVs can do’ according to the video description.
