Huawei Ascend P8 to be unveiled on April 15
The Huawei Ascend P8 will be officially unveiled on April 15 at a dedicated London launch, the Chinese manufacturer has confirmed.
Speaking exclusively with TrustedReviews at the company’s R&D headquarters in Shanghai, China, Jerry Huang, Huawei’s Director of Marketing Communications revealed the London-based unveiling for the upcoming Huawei Ascend P7 follow-on.
Having name checked the P8, Huang revealed the handset would echo the 2013 released P6 and be formally unveiled at a dedicated launch event in London. It is still unclear when the handset will hit British retailers.
While the Huawei Ascend P8 release date has been confirmed, further details on the phone’s specs are still shrouded in mystery.

With the Ascend P8 set to enter the realms of reality in mid-April, Huawei will avoid the throng of high-profile smartphone launches set to descend on MWC 2015 in March.
Despite the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 expected to be announced at the Barcelona-based conference, Huawei will look to keep the limelight to itself, pushing its latest flagship phone out a month later than the competition.
Last year’s Ascend P7 saw Huawei closed the gap to the leading smartphone players with a premium specs sheet and affordable price tag.
The P7 paired a 5-inch, 1080p display with 13-megapixel primary camera and quad-core processor.
TrustedReviews will be on hand at the Huawei Ascend P8 launch in April, stay tuned for all the latest.
