Huawei Ascend G700 mid-range HD Android leaked
A new wallet-friendly Android phone from Huawei has been leaked called the Huawei Ascend G700.
The Chinese manufacturer may have launched the Huawei Ascend Mate 6.1-inch phablet in its native country recently, but that hasn’t stopped images and specs for another planned device hitting the web from several sources.
According to the ever-reliable @evleaks, the above pictures show off the Huawei Ascend G700. Referring to an older tweet from user @paopao0128, it restates that the device will come equipped with a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 CPU and an HD LCD display.
Given the likely price of the Huawei Ascend G700, this is likely to mean 720p rather than an HTC One / Samsung Galaxy S4-matching 1080p display.
The device will also run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, apparently, which is pretty much the latest version of Google’s mobile OS
Huawei Ascend G700 Hands-on image and Pricing
Separate from this line of information, Sina Weibo has provided another snap – this time a hands-on example – and more spec information for the Huawei Ascend G700.
According to this rumour, the device will have a 5-inch screen and 2GB of RAM, making it quite the modern mid-ranger.
As for price, the latter source notes that Huawei’s G series always comes in below ¥2,000 contract free, which works out at about £212. Could we have another budget champion from China on our hands? Only if it’s ever released in the west.
Would you be tempted by the Huawei Ascend G700 is it came it around half the price of the current Android top dogs? Let us know in the comments section below, or via the Trusted Reviews Twitter and Facebook feeds.
