HTC talks a good game with new teaser for HTC 10 camera

We’re less than a week from the launch of the HTC 10 and the Taiwanese firm continues to pump out the teasers.

On Wednesday, the firm released a 40 second video, extolling the virtues of the camera on the new flagship phone.

“We know how important a high quality camera is to you,” the narrator says, “and we’ve obsessively perfected every optical detail.

“You’ll see it,” he adds, finishing up the video by saying “find out what we’re obsessed about.”

The video also features a series of still frames from around 10 seconds in, which could very possibly to be images shot with the HTC 10 camera.

Earlier teasers promised a ‘world class’ experience for both the front and rear-facing cameras. Recent rumours have also suggested the HTC 10 will have a 12-megapixel camera taking care of business.

HTC is clearly making a bold and confident play here, as it seeks to regain ground on Samsung’s near-perfect Galaxy S7 release last month.

Although riding high from the critical acclaim of the HTC Vive VR headset, HTC really needs a home run to get its ailing smartphone business back on track.

Judging by the pre-game hype HTC appears convinced this one’s going out of the park.
