HTC readies 64GB One M9 for certain markets

Not content with 32GB of internal storage? HTC has confirmed it will launch a 64GB iteration of its latest flagship phone, the HTC One M9.

Despite having only confirmed plans for one storage iteration when debuting the handset at MWC 2015 earlier this month, HTC has now announced a larger storage capacity option will also enter the realms of reality.

Confirmed for launch in the company’s native Taiwan, it is currently unclear whether or not the 64GB M9 will be introduced to further markets.

Unlike the rival Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6, both 32GB and 64GB iterations of the HTC One M8 follow-on feature microSD storage expansion.

It is believed the 64GB M9 will hit HTC’s native land tomorrow, March 16, according to PhoneArena.

The phone’s UK release has been pencilled in for March 30, just under two weeks before the S6 hits retailers on April 10.

Featuring the same 5-inch, 1080p Full HD display as its predecessor, the HTC One M9 specs sheet sees Qualcomm’s latest 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor line up alongside 3GB of RAM.

Having ditched the M8’s dual-lens camera, HTC’s latest flagship phone boasts a 20.7-megapixel rear-mounted shooter.
