HTC promises surprises at MWC 2015 despite HTC One M9 leaks

Following yesterday’s detailed HTC One M9 video leaks we wondered aloud whether the company would have anything left to show off at MWC on Sunday night. Well, it turns out HTC still has a few surprises in store for us.

The company’s senior communications bod Jeff Gordon says despite months of speculation, leaked images and video clips, there are still elements of the launch mobile fans have ‘no idea’ are coming.

“The best parts of HTC’s March 1st launch event are the parts you have NO IDEA are coming,” Gordon tweeted (via Phandroid) with capital letter emphasis just in case we weren’t listening.

So what could Jeff mean? Are there elements of the HTC One M9 that are yet to be leaked? New features that were absent from the trio of leaked videos that found their way onto the web on Tuesday?

Has the company got a new and exciting product to show off on Sunday, which has so far escaped the attention of the leak artists?

Could the HTC be launching that long rumoured wearable? A larger version of the HTC One M9? Or is the company planning something new altogether?

Rumours in tech circles have theorised the recent leaks may have been plants to throw everyone off the scent. Would HTC really be that crafty?

Either way, a simple tweet from Jeff Gordon has returned the anticipation factor to HTC’s launch this weekend.
