HTC One X9 leaks as larger One A9
Images and details have emerged of a new smartphone from HTC that appears to be an even bigger version of the HTC One A9.
HTC launched the One A9, a mid-range iPhone 6 look-a-like, last month. Now attention has turned to a quick follow-up, the HTC One X9.
Rumours of such a device have been confirmed by a submission by China’s TENAA telecommunications agency (via Android Authority).
TENAA has taken pictures of the X9, and has also provided some details on specifications. As you can see, the X9 is closely related to the A9, but has a band around the camera module that has had some drawing parallels to the Nexus 6P.
Another noteworthy point is the reinstatement of the company’s front-facing Boomsound speakers, which is good news.
Besides these points, the HTC One X9 appears to be fairly standard. It’ll have a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a quad core 2.2GHz Snapdragon CPU backed by 2GB of RAM. There’ll be 16GB of internal storage, as well as back-up from a microSD slot.
The HTC One X9 will have a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, which fits in with the HTC One A9’s specs.
Given its expanded screen proportions, it’s perhaps no surprise to hear that the HTC One X9 will measure 153.2mm X 75.9mm, 7.99mm, and will weigh a slightly hefty 174g.

It’s worth reminding ourselves that this is a handset intended for the Chinese market, so the version of the X9 we see in the West (if any) could be different in a number of ways.
