HTC One Max leaks once again with fingerprint scanner on show

New HTC One Max leaks have hit the web, with yet more images of the mooted phone showing off the upcoming handset’s integrated fingerprint scanner.

Expected to follow hot on the heels of the original HTC One and the recent HTC One Mini, the HTC One Max has been the subject of much rumour and speculation in recent weeks, with the oversized phone making a number of premature appearances.

Widely expected to be taking a leaf out of Apple’s book, the HTC One Max has been shown with a fingerprint scanner incorporated within the phone’s rear. The newly leaked images have once again focussed on the biometric security measure, similar to that of the iPhone 5S.

Although the latest HTC One Max leaks have offered no further details on the phone’s internals, they have adding backing to the claims that the phone will sport a similar, albeit larger, brushed metal design to its siblings.

Recent HTC One Max specs have pegged the phone as running a whopping 5.9-inch to 6.4-inch 1080p Full HD display, eclipsing the 5.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and lining up as a closer competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3.

Alongside the HTC One Max’s gargantuan display, further leaked specs have been tipped as a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and the same 4-Ultrapixel camera as its predecessor, alongside a 3300mAh battery and Google’s Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS.

Although the HTC One Max has been tipped to run an integrated fingerprint scanner, Samsung today confirmed it would add no such feature to next year’s Samsung Galaxy S5.

“We are not yet developing the technology,” an official Samsung spokesperson is reported to have stated when questioned on a fingerprint scanner hosting Samsung Galaxy S5.
