HTC One M9 may include revamped BoomSound speakers
The upcoming HTC One M9 may feature revamped front-facing BoomSound speakers, latest reports have suggested.
According to a recent tweet by HTC Ireland, the upcoming One M9 may feature enhanced BoomSound technology for its dual front-facing stereo speakers.
In the short video posted to Twitter, the company teases that the audio technology inside the One M9 will be bigger, better and offer louder sound than its predecessor, the HTC One M8.
“Get your hands on bigger boom #comingsoon #6days #MWC15”, reads the accompanying tweet.
This is supported by recently leaked renders of the HTC One M9, which showed some redesigning of the integrated audio enablers.
It isn’t a huge leap to suggest that with the design tweaks of the speaker grilles themselves will come some upgraded technology.
With the M8, HTC partnered with Harman/Kardon for the audio technology, having ended its Beats partnership back in 2013.
Rumours then suggested that HTC was possibly working with Bose for the sound tech in the upcoming handset, but those murmurings were quickly quashed by Bose itself.
