HTC One gold edition spotted

The HTC One has been photographed with a new gold finish, complementing the existing black, silver, red and blue models.

Following in the footsteps of the gold iPhone 5S, it seems that the HTC One is going to be getting the bling treatment in the near future.

The images come courtesy of the New Cell Phone blog via Chinese forum Weibo, showing off the front and rear of the gold HTC One chassis.

There isn’t a shot of the rear panel of the gold HTC One yet, but we’re sure that will emerge in the near future if there’s any truth to the rumour of such a coloured handset.

Originally, the HTC One was launched in black and silver, followed shortly by a Glamour Red edition that was initially a Phones 4U exclusive. More recently, HTC launched the new Blue HTC One alongside the HTC Mini Plus phone accessory.

HTC One Features

In case you’re not familiar with the HTC One, it has a 4.7-inch Full 1080p HD display with an 468ppi image density within a aluminium unibody design 9.3mm thick.

Under the hood there’s a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with 2GB of RAM, powered by a 2,300mAh battery.

Running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the HTC One is equipped with the latest version of the HTC UI that introduces HTC BlinkFeed and HTC Zoe photography software.

Complementing HTC Zoe is the HTC One’s UltraPixel camera technology with f/2.0 and Full 1080p HD video recording.

The HTC One also packs 4G LTE, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, as well as Beats Audio innards coupled with the HTC BoomSound front-facing speakers.

HTC has already introduced the HTC One mini, the mid-range alternative to its flagship smartphone, but there are rumours a HTC One Max is also on the cards.

More recently a picture of a HTC One tablet emerged, showing a slate with an approximate 8-inch screen and same design as the HTC One and One mini.
