HTC M7 revealed by HTC CEO Peter Chou
HTC CEO Peter Chou has been spotted using the rumoured upcoming HTC M7 flagship handset at the company’s end of year party.
Taking to the stage at the HTC year-end party, Peter Chou thrilled employees with chants of HTC and even the rumoured codename for the next HTC flagship to the excitement of the crowd. According to Chinese website cnYES.com, the HTC CEO took time to praise the HTC M7 team for working overtime to finalize the device.
However, Chou then took the time to openly play with the HTC M7 handset, in white, silver and black editions.
“This event today is a great opportunity for testing. I was still testing it just now,” said Chou in a video taken at the HTC party, as he snapped pictures of the company’s employees in the crowd. HTC chairwoman Cher Wang also commented on her eagerness to see the HTC M7 later this month at the event.
HTC M7 Rumours
Video clips from the party give little indication to cement any of the rumoured specs for the HTC M7, but, judging by the size of the handset wielded by the CEO, the reported 4.7-inch screen of the HTC M7 would seem to be accurate.
The rumoured HTC M7 features could also contain several upgrades from its HTC One X predecessor, including full 1080p resolution with an upgraded 1.7GHZ core processor, with 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage.
Speculated to boast a 13-megapixel camera with ‘Cinesensor’ image sensor, far superior to the Apple iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3 offerings, the HTC M7 will also feature slo-mo and HDR video functions.
Running on Android Jelly Bean with an all new Sense UI, reportedly called Sense 5, the HTC M7 should be launched at a HTC event on February 19 ahead of the MWC conference later this month.
