HTC hints at iPhone 5-like design for HTC One

The HTC One could indeed sport an iPhone 5-like design, with a recent HTC Twitter post appearing to confirm the rumours.

The company has released an update to its Twitter account with the date of its big launch event being held in London on February 19. Behind the date we get a glimpse of the very top of a mysterious new device.

There’s also a background shot of the back of a sleek metal (or metal-styled) smartphone with HTC engraved into it.

These images appear to align with a recently leaked photo from evleaks. Seemingly a press shot of the HTC One (formerly known as the HTC M7), the image reveals a sleek white and black device with a rather familiar design.

As you can see from the image, this take on the HTC One appears to have ditched the Nokia Lumia stylings of the HTC One X in favour of an iPhone 5 flavour, with a familiar straight edged, round cornered shape and a white ‘top and tail.’

In terms of specs, it’s believed that the HTC One will feature a 4.7-inch 1080p Full HD display, a 1.7GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Perhaps most interestingly of all, we’re expecting a bold new camera with a triple-layer image sensor that’s capable of capturing ‘Ultrapixels’ for a super-sharp picture.

All shall be revealed on February 19. We’re growing more excited by the day.

What do you think of this new-look HTC One? Is it a step forward for HTC phones, or is it too much like Apple’s latest? Let us know in the comments section below, or take to the Trusted Reviews Twitter and Facebook feeds.
