HTC Endeavour C2 Replacing HTC One X, Arriving This Year?

The HTC One X’s time at the top didn’t last long…

The HTC Endeavour C2 is apparently the name of a new flagship HTC handset that despite the HTC One X having been available for only a couple of months, is set to launch as soon as October.

According to Stuff, it will sport a 1.7GHz quad-core CPU (up from 1.5GHz on the One X), improved battery life (something the One X does need), new colour options and Clearvoice technology. Perhaps crucially it’s also set to be compatible with all the HTC One X’s accessories, suggesting the overall design may be very similar. That said, being as there are also rumours HTC is set to take on the Samsung Galaxy Note with its own 5in phone, maybe the Endeavour could be a similar style but bigger.

The phone will also be Beats branded and include a set or UrBeats earphones. Meanwhile an improved version of HTC’s video-on-demand service, Watch 2, will also apparently be debuting on this handset.

Give the suggested October release date, a debut at IFA in three weeks time is a distinct possibility. If so, we’ll be on-hand with all the latest.
