The Batman finally arrived in cinemas earlier this year, with leading man Robert Pattinson putting on his cowl for his portrayal of the caped crusader. For anyone who hasn’t caught up yet, or wants to relive a night in Gotham, here’s how you can stream The Batman in your own home.

Starring Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz and a frankly unrecognisable Colin Farrell, The Batman is the latest take on the iconic DC superhero, taking the world’s greatest detective to new heights in this live-action adventure.

And if you missed the cinematic release, or have been waiting to catch the flick in your own home, here is the easiest way to watch The Batman if you’re in the USA or UK.

How to watch The Batman online

The Batman has been available to stream for HBO Max customers in the US since April 18 2022, this came 46 days after the film was originally launched in theatres to much acclaim.

In the US, HBO Max costs $14.99 a month for the premium plan which is ad-free. There’s a cheaper $9.99 a month plan too, though this does include adverts during content.

This is a slight change to how HBO Max dealt with big releases in 2021, where films would launch simultaneously on the streaming service and in cinemas.

If you’re in the UK, it’s sadly not as simple. HBO Max is not available locally and you cannot stream it for free on any other streaming service, however, you can now buy the film through digital services like Prime Video, iTunes, Play Movies and so on. The price is £13.99. It’ll also arrive on physical formats in June.

While this isn’t as cheap or convenient as using HBO Max, we expect that it will drop to more streaming services in the future and hopefully the steep rental price will plummet at some point too.

Can you stream The Batman in 4K HDR?

Yes, The Batman is available to stream in 4K HDR on HBO Max and if your digital store of choice support these formats it should be available there too.
