Google finally did it! How to loop YouTube videos: explained

Looping videos – such a simple delight, but impossible to do directly through YouTube, until now.

YouTube has added a video loop feature, which means you won’t need to rely on third-party software or sites anymore.

To access the new feature on desktop browsers, you just need to right-click on a video and choose the ‘Loop’ option.

Once you’ve ticked the option, the video will automatically replay once it ends…forever.

The only downside to the new future is that you can’t access looping on mobile versions of YouTube just yet.

We’ve contacted Google to find out whether there are plans to enable mobile looping, and we’ll update this article with any response.

Looping videos has been a long sought after feature, and there are a host of third-party platforms that offer the service.

What’s more, there are plenty of 10-hour video loops on YouTube, usually of a particularly addictive song.

The love for looping isn’t just confined to YouTube, mind; there is an entire subreddit dedicated to perfectly looped gifs – /r/perfectloops.
