Honor 3C unveiled as affordable Moto G rival

The Moto G has a new rival in the affordable smartphone stakes, as the Honor 3C is unveiled as a sub-£110 mid-range handset.

The second smartphone to come from the Huawei-spinoff brand, the Honor 3C pairs its wallet-friendly price tag with a 5-inch, 720p HD display and an 8-megapixel primary camera.

“The Honor 3C is the latest statement from a new brand determined to shake up the mobile market,” an official company spokesperson stated.

Lars-Christian Weisswange, Managing Director of Marketing for Honor Europe added: “The Honor 3C is made for a digital audience who demand new technology at affordable prices.”

Honor 3C Features
Although not a match for the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or LG G3, for the price, the Honor 3C’s specs sheet impresses.

Powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, the handset pairs its 8GB of internal storage with microSD expansion options.

The 5-inch display features a pleasing 1280 x 720p HD resolution and a 2300mAh battery should see you easily through a full day’s usage.

Pairing an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera with a secondary, selfie-loving 5-megapixel offering up front, the handset’s feature list is further enhanced by dual-SIM capabilities for easy work-life transitions.

Despite this impressive specs collection, the 3C has dropped all the way back to Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS to run the show alongside Huawei’s Emotion 2.0 UI.

Honor 3C Release Date and Price
As mentioned, the Honor 3C’s price tag isn’t going to break the bank. In fact, landing at just £109.99, the device could pose one of the best value propositions in the current smartphone space.

For those eager to snap up the handset, you won’t have too long to wait. The Honor 3C release date has been set for next Monday, November 24. Pre-orders are already open.
