After tempting us with the brilliantly retro Urban EV hot hatch concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Honda’s just taken the wraps off a gorgeous new electric two-seater sports car.
While the city version proved old-school styling could still hold its own when electric hatchbacks take over, the Japanese car manufacturer’s Sports EV two-seater concept shows what the future might look like for those of us with a more pronounced need for speed.

Its cute, quirky design means it wouldn’t have looked out of place roaming the roads in the 1970s, but the tech that powers it is as modern as it comes.
It’s pure electric, and has an AI assistant in the passenger seat for ultimate future-proofing.
The Sports EV concept’s dinky hatchback sibling is scheduled to hit the roads in 2019, but there’s no word yet on whether this sporty beauty will even make production.
If it ever does, we’ll fight anyone for the first test-drive.
