Hitman’s PS4 beta free for all Playstation Plus members next week

Square Enix has announced that the Hitman PS4 beta will be available for all Playstation Plus members on March 4.
Hitman’s previously closed beta test on PS4 can be downloaded by all Playstation Plus members starting March 4, providing players with a taste of the game’s prologue.
“Our initial beta was an extremely helpful moment for our new HITMAN game, as it gave us great insight into how the server game mechanics function under pressure. A lot of those pressure points are currently being strengthened for release,” said Hannes Seifert, Studio Head at Io-Interactive.
“Now Sony have given us the opportunity to go even bigger to validate some of the initial things we saw. Therefore we are inviting everyone who is a PlayStation Plus member to try the same beta and you don’t have to pre-order the game. This will allow us to really stress test our server setup, which is a crucial element for us to get just right.”

IO Interactive has also released a new cinematic trailer for Hitman that looks back at the legendary career of Agent 47.
The ‘legacy cinematic’ begins in the Hotel Gallard of Codename: 47 before concluding in the iconic Chilean Delgado Vineyard from Hitman: Blood Money.
It’s an interesting retrospective of a franchise rarely praised for its characters and storytelling.
This also means that Hitman may not be a reboot, and judging by the beta’s presentation, it will place a tighter focus on character development and storytelling.
