Hideo Kojima and Silent Hills star Norman Reedus reunite for an update

Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima and The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus have reunited for an “update”, and we really hope it involves Silent Hills.

Remember Silent Hills? The survival horror dream project was set to combine the talents of Hideo Kojima, Guillermo Del Toro and Norman Reedus.

Unfortunately, the project was abruptly cancelled by Konami in April 2015, following a controversial fallout with Hideo Kojima during the development of Metal Gear Solid V.

Two of the individuals involved in the project, Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus, recently reunited in Las Vegas.

Hideo Kojima tweeted a picture of himself and Reedus yesterday, saying “Reunion with Norman Reedus. Giving him an update about my company.”

We aren’t sure why the two are meeting up so suddenly, but they both look happy to see each other.

Hideo Kojima will appear at the DICE Summit in Las Vegas on 17 February, where he will be inducted into the DICE Hall of Fame.

Kojima will be delivering the show’s keynote address alongside Guillermo Del Toro, who was also a part of the Silent Hills project.

It’s an unusual combination of reunions, and gives us some hope for the future of Silent Hills, or even a spiritual successor involving the trio.

Kojima officially left Konami in December 2015, soon after he announced the formation of his new studio, Kojima Productions.

The developer quickly formed a publication deal with Sony, which confirmed that Kojima’s next game will be exclusive to the PS4.

It could be possible that Kojima would like to involve Norman Reedus and Guillermo Del Toro in his next project, which we’d definitely be okay with.

Silent Hills had the potential to be something truly special, so to see it return in any way, shape or form would be great.
