Here’s what happens when an £8,000 Apple Watch is crushed by magnets

To buy the gilded Apple Watch Edition, you’ll need at least £8,000. At such a ludicrous price, it’s clearly an object you’d want to take care of. Right?

It seems US vlogger TechRax has a different definition of care, however. Specifically, destroying luxury objects for the internet’s viewing pleasure.

In true super-villain form, the YouTube star has posted a video of an Apple Watch Edition being crushed by two magnets.

Not just any magnets, either. These are super strong neodymium magnets that meet with a force equal to 294kg. TechRax says they “can crush bones and do significant damage.” That’s what we like to hear.

Once the wearable is prised out from between the magnets, it quickly becomes clear that the Apple Watch is a goner.
