Koei Tecmo has released the debut trailer for Dynasty Warriors 9 alongside a detailed overview of the upcoming hack ‘n’ slasher.
Launching exclusively for PS4 in Japan later this year, Koei Tecmo is yet to announce whether the latest Warriors title is coming to North America and Europe.
“Unifying the classic, time-tested action iconic to the Warriors series with a variety of new features, characters and content in an expansive open world environment, Dynasty Warriors 9 aims to deliver the most immersive and ambitious Dynasty Warriors experience to date,” Koei Tecmo details on the official site.

Much like previous games in the long-running series, players will find themselves against thousands of enemies at once, all of which are just asking a fight.
By choosing from an assortment of unique fighters, weapons and environments, Dynasty Warriors 9 aims to give us a historically brutal tour of third-century China.
The debut trailer looks suitably melodramatic and over-the-top, also revealing a dynamic day/night cycle spanning across the open world.
